The topic lists follow OxfordAQA Chemistry 9620 specification version 5.3, the version linked by the board on 25 October 2026. It applies to exams from 2020 onwards, including January 2027. The qualification page has the latest specification and assessment information.
The January 2027 dates come from the confirmed OxfordAQA timetable, checked on 25 October 2026. Confirm your local starting time with your centre. You can find more material in the official resources; some files require a centre login.
What you can practise here
CH01 has 18 original true-or-false questions and three worked problems. CH04 has 20 questions and four worked problems. These check selected parts of each unit. They are not full papers or tests of the whole specification.
CH02 and CH03 have topic guidance; CH05 has a practical checklist and a question on evaluating results. Links to existing Chemistry Help tools practise the named topics. Other links within those tools may take you to further UK AQA or OCR content.
The UK-paper guide matches topics to units. It does not classify individual questions or subparts, or approve a whole paper for a unit. Paper and mark scheme links go to AQA-hosted files, found through LearnFaster. The board’s questions and mark schemes are not reproduced here.
Saving your work
The quiz score uses your first answer to each question. An immediate retry does not add to that score. Missed questions are saved in this browser when storage is available, and removed once you answer them correctly.
You can remember a unit on this browser and change or clear it later. OxfordAQA quiz results do not yet appear in My Chemistry. Existing UK-labelled tools keep their usual AQA/OCR account settings and saving behaviour. Written answers are for you to compare with the worked answer; the site does not mark them.
